Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

Not legal advice. This policy was drafted directly from dpaperwork’s actual data handling to give founders and early users an accurate, good-faith picture of what happens to their data during early access. It is not a substitute for review by qualified counsel, and should be reviewed by a lawyer before dpaperwork’s public launch.

1. Who we are

dpaperwork (“dpaperwork,” “we,” “us”) is a founder-operated product, currently pre-incorporation, run by its founder in India. References to “dpaperwork” in this policy mean the operator of the dpaperwork website and application, whatever legal entity that resolves to at the time. For privacy questions, contact sam@dpaperwork.in.

2. What we collect

If you join the waitlist: your email address only, submitted through the waitlist form on this site.

If you create a dpaperwork account and Workspace: your name and email address (via Better Auth, our authentication provider), a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and the data you and your team put into your Workspace — Companies, Contacts, Deals, Projects, Cycles, Tasks, Documents, and any messages you send through Chat or Playbooks.

If you connect Gmail: the Gmail integration is Workspace-level and optional. When connected, dpaperwork reads recent sent-mail history to infer your Brand Voice, and uses the Gmail API to send Documents and emails you trigger from within the app. We only request the Gmail access scopes needed for these two purposes.

If you subscribe to a paid plan: billing and subscription management is handled by Razorpay. We do not store your card details — Razorpay processes and stores payment information directly, and we receive subscription status via Razorpay webhooks.

Cookies: we use a cookie consent manager (c15t) to present a cookie banner and record your consent choices. Beyond the session cookie required to keep you signed in, no analytics or advertising scripts are currently active on this site.

3. Why we collect it

  • To create and secure your account and Workspace, and keep you signed in
  • To operate the product you’ve signed up for — Chat, Pipeline, Delivery, Docs, Playbooks, and the Inbox all read and write the Workspace data you provide
  • To send transactional email — verification links, invite links, password resets, and notifications you’ve triggered (e.g. an Inbox digest)
  • To process payment and manage your subscription, if you’re on a paid plan
  • To notify you when someone joins the waitlist you signed up for, or to let you know when a seat opens
  • To improve the product based on how it’s actually used

4. AI processing of your data

dpaperwork’s Chat, Playbooks, and document drafting features are powered by Anthropic’s Claude models. When you use these features, the relevant portion of your Workspace data (e.g. a client’s deal history, a document you’re drafting) is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a response. This data is processed to generate your answer or draft and is not used by Anthropic to train their models under their standard API terms. We do not send your data to any AI provider other than Anthropic.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run dpaperwork, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:

  • Better Auth — authentication and session management
  • Razorpay — payment processing and subscription billing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Google (Gmail API)— only if you connect your Workspace’s Gmail account, and only for sending Documents/emails and inferring Brand Voice
  • Anthropic — AI processing for Chat, Playbooks, and document drafting
  • Our database and hosting infrastructure — PostgreSQL for data storage, hosted on our infrastructure provider

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain Workspace data for as long as your Workspace exists. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or the waitlist closes. If you delete your account or close your Workspace, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to retain records (e.g. billing records) for legal or tax purposes.

7. Your rights under the DPDPA

As dpaperwork is operated from India, we process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). Regardless of where you’re located, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Withdraw consent for processing that relies on it (e.g. cookies, marketing email)
  • Raise a grievance if you believe your data has been mishandled

To exercise any of these rights or raise a grievance, contact our Grievance Officer at sam@dpaperwork.in. We aim to respond within 30 days.

8. Children’s privacy

dpaperwork is a business tool intended for use by founders and their teams. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes, especially as dpaperwork moves from early access toward general availability. We’ll update the “last updated” date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to Workspace founders directly.
