Settings
Settings is where you configure your Workspace — the AI context it operates from, who's on the team, what it's allowed to monitor, and how it connects to the rest of your business.
Settings is split into two areas via a left sidebar sub-nav: Workspace Settings (shared by everyone in the Workspace) and Personal Settings (things scoped to you individually).
Workspace Settings
General
The workspace basics, plus your Company Context:
- Branding — your workspace logo, brand color (used on document PDF headers), and currency (USD or INR — used for deal values and pricing across the workspace)
- Company Context — the briefing dpaperwork reads before every action. This is the single most important setting: edit it here, or let dpaperwork learn it over time from what you tell it in Chat
Monitor
Thresholds for automatic deal and pipeline monitoring:
- Stale Deal Threshold (days) — how many days without an Interaction before a deal appears in your Morning Brief (default: 14)
- Weekly Hours Threshold — the weekly hours per person that flags a team member as overloaded (default: 40)
- Budget Warning Threshold (%) — flag a deal's budget as "approaching" once spend crosses this percentage (default: 90%)
Brand Voice
How your company communicates. Captured two ways:
- Via Gmail — after connecting Gmail, dpaperwork reads your last 10–20 sent email threads to infer tone and style automatically
- Manually — describe your voice directly here or in Chat: formal / casual, things you always say, things you never say, your standard sign-off
Brand Voice is applied to every Document draft and email generated on your behalf.
Billing
Manage your plan and AI usage. dpaperwork charges a flat monthly fee per Workspace, covering your whole team up to your plan's member limit (Starter: up to 10 members, Growth: up to 30 — larger teams need a custom plan). The Billing page shows a per-member AI spend breakdown, and you can see the model usage driving it.
New Workspaces get a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. If the trial expires or payment fails, the Workspace goes read-only — you can view data but cannot create records or use Chat until payment is resolved. Your data is never deleted.
Cross-Domain
Set how data is shared across Domains — for example, which records in one Domain are visible to Playbooks or team members operating in another. Available to the Founder.
Roles
dpaperwork ships with a permission-based role system. The Founder owns the Workspace; additional members can be assigned roles that grant or restrict access to specific features — managing billing, members, clients, pipeline, documents, delivery, Playbooks, and Company Knowledge. Available to the Founder.
Custom Fields
Add custom fields to Records — Companies, Contacts, Deals, and more — and define their types. Custom fields appear on record detail pages and can be used as list columns. Available to the Founder.
Team
Add and manage team members. For each person you invite, you set their Role and which Domains they can access. The invite goes to their email — if they don't have a dpaperwork account, the invite link creates one on acceptance, no separate signup step required.
Personal Settings
- Profile — your name and avatar
- Security — account security settings
- Notifications — what you get notified about, including web push notifications on your devices
The Appearance toggle (Light / Dark / System) isn't in Settings — it lives inline in the profile dropdown at the bottom of the sidebar (or the mobile "More" overlay) for quick access without leaving the page you're on.
